  1. How can I register for an EMA account?
    Go to the registration form or look here for a step by step description.
  2. During registration I am getting the following message: “The email you have chosen is already in use”. What should I do?
    If you are getting a message that your email address is already in use, it means that you have an EMA account and should not register again.
    This account may already exist if you have used an EMA application in the past. These include: Eudralink, EudraCT Secure, Service Desk portal, MMSe, JIRA, MMD, EVDAS, EUDRAPORTAL, EUDRAGMP, PAEDIATRICS, BI DASHBOARD, EUTCT, CORPGXP, EPITT, PSUR. 
    You can use your EMA account credentials to directly login to the EMA application in question without registering again.

    However if you have forgotten your credentials you, please use the "Forgot Username?" and "Forgot Password?" links to retrieve your username and reset your password.

    Please note all passwords must be at least 8 characters long and contain 4 different character types. Example passwords that meet the requirements; P4$$w0rd, Americ@52, M3d!cines
  3. I haven’t received the email with my registration token. What should I do?
    Please check that the email address you have provided is correct, then check that the email is not in your Spam Folder.
    If you still cannot find the email please try registering again before contacting the Service Desk.
  4. I have not received a confirmation email after registration. What should I do?
    First attempt to log in to the EMA Account Management Portal at https://register.ema.europa.eu with the password you have set and the username displayed during the self-registration process.
    Alternatively, if you do not remember your username, use the "Forgot Username?" link and if you do not remember your password use the "Forgot Password?" link on the login page.
    Once you have retrieved your username/password try to login again.
    If the login is still unsuccessful, your account might not have been created. Please, attempt to register again.
    If the registration is still not successful, please contact the Service Desk
  5. I have forgotten my username. How can I retrieve it?
    Click on the "Forgot Username?" link in the ‘Self Registration’ portal and provide the email you used upon initial registration.
    An email containing your username will be sent to your email address.
  6. Where can I view my user profile details?
    Log in to the EMA Account Management Portal at https://register.ema.europa.eu and click on the "Edit Identity" link.
  7. When I try to login I get a message stating that my account is disabled. What should I do?
    The account may have been disabled due to inactivity or upon your request. If you did not request to disable your account, use the "Forgot Password?" link to reactivate it. For a step-by-step guide look here.
  8. I have forgotten my password. How can I reset it?
    Click on the "Forgot Password?" link to reactivate it. For a step-by-step guide look here.
  9. How can I setup my challenge questions?
    Log in to the EMA Account Management Portal at https://register.ema.europa.eu
    Go to the top right corner of your screen, click on your profile name and on "My Preferences".
    Then click on the "Edit Authentication Questions" link at the bottom of the page.
    Set up or update your authentication questions and click on the "Save" button.
  10. My account is locked. What should I do?
    An account is automatically locked after 5 unsuccessful login attempts. Use the "Forgot Password?" link to unlock it. For a step-by-step guide look here
  11. How can I request access for an EMA application?
    Log in to the EMA Account Management Portal at https://register.ema.europa.eu
    If you need to request access on behalf of an organisation click on "Request Access for Organisations", look for your organisation and use the “search” field to find the application you want to request access for.

  12. I need to access to an application on behalf of an organisation that is been merged. What should I do?
    Log in to the EMA Account Management Portal at https://register.ema.europa.eu
    By default, when requesting access for Organisations, only active organisations are shown: if you need access to an historical record of a merged organisation, please tick the “Include historical records” checkbox.

  13. How can I review the progress of my access request?
    Log in to the EMA Account Management Portal at https://register.ema.europa.eu
    Click on "Track My Request" link located under the “Manage Access” section.

  14. How can I remove a role from my EMA Account?
    Log in to the EMA Account Management Portal at https://register.ema.europa.eu
    Click on "Manage Access".
    Use the “search” field to find the application you want to remove access from.
    Once identified, select the access you want to remove.
    Then click on the “Revoke” button and confirm.

  15. Do I need to register again when I change my employer?
    Yes, you must register a new EMA Account following the steps described in the “Create an EMA Account” guide.
    Please open a EMA Service Desk ticket to disable your old account and remove unnecessary access.
  16. I cannot change/update my e-mail address. What should I do?
    Changing the e-mail address via EMA Account Management portal is no longer possible. You should create new account via EMA Account Management Portal and request your old account to be disabled.
  17. The e-mail domain of my organisation has been changed. What should I do?
    If the e-mail domain of your organisation has been changed request the update of the domain via EMA Service Desk the and the bulk change will be performed for all users of that domain.
  18. Is it Mandatory to have an Organisation Administrator?
    No, it is not mandatory but the new process can reduce the number of administrators that need to be validated by EMA with a proof of affiliation letter, speeding up the process of administrator approval while ensuring organisations retain control over requests for administrator roles in EMA Account Management.
  19. Is there a limitation in the number of Organisation Administrators?
    No, there is not limitation in the number of User Administrators, we advice to have at least 2.
  20. How do we request access as Organisation Administrator?
    1. Go to EMA Account Management
    2. Click on Request Access for Organisations
    3. Search and select your organisation
    4. Select External Organisation Administrator
    5. If rqeesueted, attach supporting documentation
    6. Submit the request (more documentation on how to request access here)
  21. Can the Organisation Administrator approve a change of QPPV or Responsible person in EudraVigilance?
    No, QPPV and Responsible persons for EudraVigilance are always approved by the EMA, for more information refer to the EudraVigilance registration manual .
  22. Does the Organisation Administrator have access to EMA Systems requiring approval?
    No, the Organisation Administrator has access in EMA Account Management, for approvals and user administrators task. The user does not have access to other systems like IRIS, CTIS and EudraVigilance unless specific access is granted.
